We took out a tree in the backyard in order to plant something that will give us food.
I miss the shade, but I think it'll be worth it.
This is our first season of trying square foot gardening. We've planted butternut squash seeds, onion seeds, onion sets, three pepper plants (sweet and jalapeño), two tomato plants, cucumber seeds, eggplant seedling, cilantro, marigolds, and bush beans. Keeping my fingers crossed that I did it correctly. My biggest problem has been trying to keep the cats out.
This is our future raspberry bush that is replacing the tree.
