So I mentioned in another post that I'm determined to learn to play the fiddle this year. Well, four weeks later, things are progressing, although slowly. I've been practicing at least three days every week, but only for about 20 minutes at a time. Learning to tune the thing has taken up most of that time, but I am definitely getting better at it. Right now I'm just using free lesson videos from youtube. We'll see how far those take me. There's no way we can afford real lessons at the present.
I've been watching a lot of videos on Youtube of great fiddlers. Ruby Jane is my favorite. I guess this is my ultimate goal (how many years from now, if ever?). ;-) We'll see.
